We DO know they have been recorded in history for hundreds of years. In the past twenty years, the amount of formations created and complexity of the designs have risen dramatically.

Dedicated professionals from across the globe are researching and investigating, questioning and communicating. People from all walks of life are exploring their meaning and significance, absorbing their beauty. This communication and camaraderie, itself, is part of their gift to humanity.

They are beautifully complex sacred geometric art forms that bring a sense of reverence and awe to anyone who looks at them. Crop Formations contain symbols which have spiritual meaning, some we can identify and some we can not. They speak to the artist, the poet, the scientist, the musician, the mathematician, the curious and even the skeptics.

Most formations appear at night under the cloak of darkness in the grain fields of southern England. An ever increasing amount are appearing in various parts of the world.

They seem to be helping us open to the possibility that we don't know everything there is to know, on this planet or beyond. A language of the soul is spoken in ancient symbols and geometry. There are greater intelligences available to help us shift our consciousness, our belief structures and open the windows of our minds to the mysteries of life. This is, indeed, the most fascinating and significant mystery of our time and deserves our respect and loving attention.

In the mid 1980's, Kim worked at a metaphysical book store in Michigan. Collin Andrew's book, "Circular Evidence" had just come out and she decided to read it. That was our first introduction to crop formations in the fields of southern England.

Kim is also a massage therapist by trade. While at the bookstore she learned about the power of symbols, in this case, a Reiki symbol. She drew the symbol and put it under her massage table to tap its energy during her bodywork sessions.

We realized, as we continued to study crop circles off and on through the years, they were powerful symbols expressing them selves on our Planet.

While reading, we discovered that a group of people took a picture of an ailing forest being affected by acid rain. They placed the photograph on an image of a crop circle with the intent of increasing the health of the forest. Three years later another photo showed a notable improvement in the forest's health (“Secrets of the Fields”, page 257, by Freddy Silva).

The implications of this struck us deeply. If this is indeed true, what does it mean to us? The Reiki symbol seemed to help Kim's massage clients, why not symbols to help the Earth? Then we had a brain flash: Let's make a crop circle in stained glass and let the sunlight shine through it into our home every day!

We thought maybe the energy would come through and affect us in healing ways. What will it do to us? Will it make us healthier? Happier? More intuitive?.

We made our first one. Then the second…. and the third, forth, fifth, sixth… we ran out of windows to hang them in so we hung them from the ceilings.

The designs are intriguing from the start. When Rob lays them out in pattern form, with drafting tools in hand (remembering a bit of geometry from high school), he gets amazed at the precision.

When we cut the glass, the repeated shapes bring harmony that we sense on an intuitive level. As we assemble the individual pieces, the energy builds and seems to "demand" completion. The physical strength of the whole piece, once soldered, is impressive. They seem alive with intelligence, each one having its own unique qualities and personality.
